vision and mission

There are many children in this world who do not live in a safe and secure environment. This means they need extra help and protection. At Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland we devote our efforts to children who need our support in order to develop as full individuals, a right that is laid down in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We are convinced that with our help many children can also contribute to finding solutions to their own problems and those of other children. In this way children learn to have confidence in their own ability. This enables them to develop into full citizens, making their contribution to a better society.

• Kinderpostzegels informs children and young people in the Netherlands about the situation of disadvantaged children and young people, encouraging them to take action on behalf of their peers.
• By providing advice and funding, Kinderpostzegels strengthens partner organisations at home and abroad, which encourage disadvantaged children and young people to take responsibility for their own lives in a manner appropriate to their age and level of development.
• Where the conditions prevent children and young people from taking responsibility for themselves, Kinderpostzegels also supports projects focusing on care and protection.
• Kinderpostzegels adopts a customer-focused, open and service-oriented position, drawing on its own expertise to support promising and innovative social initiatives.
• Kinderpostzegels establishes national and international links between various initiatives to achieve the maximum social effect and bring about sustainable solutions.
• Kinderpostzegels goes about fundraising in a responsible manner, including the organisation of campaigns where children sell products to benefit other children.
